A balanced cup

As always with Ladro, the beans are truly light roast, not over-roasted, so I taste the flavors of the coffee, not burnt beans. And Ladro's description is spot on: I taste the peach when I sip the just-poured coffee, followed by cocoa as the coffee cools. The jasmine scent is upfront in whole and ground beans and is detectable in the brewed cup too. As with other Ethiopian coffees, I notice grassy/earthy tones, which I enjoy, but may be an acquired taste. Overall, a balanced cup that's great in the morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up and pairs well with food or sweet treats. I brew this coffee using pour-over method and really like the result!
